Parks News

We were happy to see the residents cleaning up the neighborhood in our city wide rummage sale and clean up.
The park programs are in progress. We have had great results and would like to thank the instructors and those who participated.

Our Tae Kwon Do (Korean Karate) class is a self defense, sport, exercise, meditation and philosophy class for children. The class will be on Tuesday and Thursday for 8 weeks starting Aug. 3rd until Sept 23rd. The time still needs to be determined. The fee is $40 for a resident which includes the uniform. The non-resident fee is $120, $80 for the class and $40 for the uniform. All fees need to be paid before you can take the class. Testing for the belt and tournaments for both residents and non-residents is not included.

The Summer Archery camp has been a success.  We had 18 participants and everyone had fun and came away with all the basics.  The head instructor is named Rick Rutledge and he is a Nationally Certified Archery instructor.  We are contemplating an after school youth archery program in the fall.  For more information please contact City hall.

Our senior activity will start on Oct. 14 from 11:00-2:00 on the second Thursday of each month. The programs will be held at John L Brown park or city hall.

If you have any questions, suggestions or would like to register for classes please email jwilley@woodsonterrace.net, mzaiz@woodsonterrace.net or rhogan@woodsonterrace.net. or call city hall at 427-2600.
